Thanks to its wide measurement range and the high flexibility, the SALD-2201 is
the ideal “workhorse” for particle measurements. It´s designed for all most all
kinds of measurements and applications such as wet measurements, dry measurements,
high concentration sample measurements, micro bubble measurement etc. . Thereby it takes just a few seconds to change between the optional accessories and to switch
e.g. from a wet measurement to a dry sample and backwards.

A single light source, a single optical system and a single measurement theory of
laser diffraction method can realize the perfect seamless and wide measuring range.
There are no discontinuous points over the measuring range. Changes of particle
size distribution can be monitored in real-time, because no switch of light sources
can realize the short measurement time of 1 second.

Sampler units for wet measurements
With the sampler unit SALD-MS22 it´s possible to measure dispersed particles in
the liquid.
SUS and fluororesins are used in the circulation passageways of Sampler Unit SALD-MS22,
so that many organic solvents can be used. Also, when measurement with a small amount
of organic solvent is desired, the batch cell SALD-BC22 can be selected.
High Concentrated Samples:
The high concentration kit HC-22 allows measurements of high concentrated samples
by simply dispersing the high-concentrated sample between two glass slides. This
shortens the length of the light path, avoids the negative effects of multiple scattering.
High performance dry measurements and easy switch between wet measurement and
dry measurement
The Injection type Dry Measurement Unit SALD-DS21 can realize optimum dry measurements
for various sample particles. Also, switch between wet measurement and dry measurement
is very easy.
Injection type Dry Measurement Unit
(measuring range: approx. 0.8 to 1000um)
This unit measures the particle size distribution of a sample powder dispersed in
the air. Use this unit for particle size distribution measurements of powders with
no suitable dispersion medium and powders that dissolve in liquids. For measurements
the sample powder is dispersed by injecting in the air from a nozzle. The unit offers
three types of sample suction mechanism and three types of nozzle, which allow setting
of the optimal dispersion force and sample volume conditions to match the sample
state and aim of measurement. A separate dry-measurement detector case compressor
and dust collector are required to use the dry measurement units.
