What to expect in 2025

 

In 2025 major changes will take place in the regulations for analyzing wastewater in the Benelux. After decades of analyzing these samples on Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD/CZV) and Kjehahl (TKN), these environmental pollutting analysis are replaced by the environmentally friendly TOC/TNb analysis. 

In Belgium the new norm is WAC/III/D/050 and in The Netherlands NEN-ISO-20236.
The Shimadzu TOC-L and TNM-L meet the requirements needed for these norms including the cellulose test mentioned in these norms.
