LCMS-2020 - Single Quadrupole MS

Ultra high-speed mass spectrometer compatible for the first time with ultra high-speed liquid chromatography.


The LCMS-IT-TOF is a new type of mass spectrometer that combines QIT (ion trap) and TOF (time-of-flight) technologies. When combining QIT and TOF, the greatest technological challenges were the efficient introduction of ions into the QIT and the simultaneous ejection of trapped ions to the TOF. Here, we introduce the newly developed technologies used to solve these problems.


The CLAM-2000 fully automated sample preparation module for LCMS is based on extensive blood coagulation analyzer technology that Shimadzu has cultivated over many years. Simply place blood collection or other tubes in position and the system automatically performs everything from pretreating blood or other samples for analysis to LCMS analysis.

C2MAP System

The C2MAP™ system measures component changes in a culture supernatant as culturing progresses using LC/MS/MS. This system can be used for a wide range of applications, from basic research of cell cultures including pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells and ES cells), mesenchymal stem cells, and antibody-producing cells, to scaling up of culture volumes and actual process development.


The DPiMS-2020 is a single quadrupole mass spectrometer based on using probe electrospray ionization. It uses a probe to remove a micro quantity of liquid from the sample placed on the sample plate and inject it into the MS unit for mass analysis.
It is extremely easy to operate and it is able to measure samples such as chemical products, food materials, and biological samples, directly or with very minimal sample pretreatment.

Nexera Mikros

The Nexera Mikros can be used to detect target components with higher sensitivity than with semi-micro flowrate compatible LCMS systems, which perform measurements within a flowrate range of 100 μL/min to 500 μL/min.
